The Penang hindu endowments board together with the Malaysia Hindudharma Mamandram and the Penang Hindu Association organised a talk entitled ‘Murugan Perumai ‘ which was held on 12th December 2018 at the PHEB hall at Jalan Macalister, Penang. The informative talk was delivered by Swami Sai Ravichandran & Prof. Dr. Murugan from Tamil Nadu.
IN a bid to train local Hindu priests, the Penang Hindu Endowment Board (PHEB) is organising the Adipadai Archagar Pairchi (Basic Priest Level One Course). About 60 participants aged betwen 11 and 45 have completed the course. They came not only from Penang but also from Johor, Pahang, Selangor, Kedah and Perak.
The 1st meeting of Thaipusam 2018 Consultative Committee was held this morning at 9.30am at KOMTAR, Penang. The meeting was chaired by YB. Prof Dr. P. Ramasamy, DCM II of Penang.
Various Government Depts / Agencies, Temple Committee’s and NGO’s attended the meeting in which a review was made on the preparations for Thaipusam 2018. Feedbacks from the departments,agencies, NGO’s were received for improvements in several areas. As last year, the Golden Chariot will make its way from Sree Maha Mariamman Temple, Queen Street to the Arulmigu Balathandayuthapani (Hilltop) Temple, Waterfall Road on 30th January 2018 departing at 5am and the return journey will be on 1st February 2018 departing at 5pm.
The Malaysian Sithargal religious talk jointly organised by the Penang Hindu Endowments Board and Penang Hindu Kalai Kalachara Narpani Mandram was held on Saturday, 4th Nov 2017 at the Dewan Sree Mariamman, Butterworth.
The PHEB was represented by Mr.M.Ramachandran at the ‘AKSHAYA PATRA PROJECT ‘ organised by the Sri Akni Muniswarar Temple,Permatang Tinggi this morning( 31st August 2017)

Sir Lim Guan Eng, the chief minister of Penang has delivered a check worth rm 200 thousand to dato ‘ Subramaniam, chairman of the temple of the temple balathandayuthapani (Waterfall Hilltop Temple), Penang at 28 July 2017 in the motion room, office chief Minister, level 28, komtar, Penang. YB. Prof. Dr. P. Palanisamy was also present to the delivery ceremony. This check is a special contribution to the state government to waterfall hilltop temple especially for Penganjuran Celebration Festival 2017.
